Emirati Students Showcase AI Projects at ADIPEC 2025

ADNOC hosted Emirati students to participate in the «AI Zone» as part of the ADIPEC 2025 exhibition and conference, where they presented their projects to an audience of experts and innovators. The hosting of these students aimed to enable them to connect with specialists and experts in this vital field, which has become a major contributor to shaping the future.

In the Al Qattara area, located on the outskirts of Al Ain, an exceptional Emirati experience was born, bringing together education, creativity, and determination. Its story began when Abdullah Al Dhaheri, a community activist, launched the «Digital Impact Generation» initiative. The initiative aims to train students to use artificial intelligence tools and build a generation that keeps pace with modern technology while preserving Emirati identity and original ethical values.

The initiative focused on empowering students to gain early experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, programming, and digital creativity through various activities, such as authoring stories and developing smart tools and solutions. This helps boost their self-confidence and makes them more aware of their ability to contribute to building the future.

The initiative brought together four students who shared a passion for achieving excellence and making a tangible impact on society. They included: Hamad Muajjed Al Dhaheri, a tenth-grade student who used AI technology to author a story titled «Inspirational People from Al Qattara»; Hamad Najm Al Dhaheri, aged 12, who developed a smart tool for managing daily expenses; Amar Hamid Al Dhaheri, whose interest in Emirati heritage and enhancing national identity led him to use AI to author a story that highlights components of local culture, which was showcased in a special children's stories pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair; and Ziyab Al Dhaheri, aged 11, who has a broad interest in developing smart agricultural technologies. Through their participation in the «NASA International Space Apps Challenge», the students developed a technological solution to monitor light pollution in the UAE, contributing to raising environmental awareness through scientific innovation.

The initiative contributes to shaping a balanced digital generation that combines original Emirati values with the ability to interact responsibly with future tools. It allows students to challenge themselves and discover their creative abilities. On an individual level, it has been a turning point in their lives, enabling them to produce creative content and use AI tools and applications to express their ideas and shape their stories. On a social level, the initiative's impact has extended to the students' families, their schools, and the entire Al Qattara community. The students' stories and achievements have become a source of inspiration for their peers, who now see in them living examples of the creativity and excellence of young people.
